November Update
It’s been nearly a year! I thought I would make an update mostly for practice.
Since making the website, I’ve since got a job in the game industry working on a game in Unity, which has been a fun way to get paid and learn some new skills. Unfortunately, this does mean my indie progress has been shoved to the sidelines, which is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because, hey, steady paycheck. But a curse because I don’t have nearly as much time to spend on my own projects.
Over the past year I have started and tabled several game prototypes, but am finally zeroing in on a project I can dedicate a lot of time and effort into.
I’ve been big into the megastructure genre lately, playing games such as Lorn’s Lure, ECHO, and Metal Garden, and have some ideas to bring my own spin to the genre. The plan is a 3D game in the Unity Engine with light story elements and a zero-G movement system. I’ve been hard at work on a prototype and hope to post about it sometime in the next few months!
Happy Holidays!
